Job Description:

The organisation is looking for permanent employee to join our drawing office.
The successful candidate will primarily be tasked with the designing all exterior outfitting aspects on our yachts.
This post is based at our manufacturing site in Athlone Industria, Cape Town.

Mandatory Requirement
The applicant must hold SA citizenship, permanent residency or another form of accepted work visa.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

           Regularly reporting to the Drawing Office Supervisor, the successful candidate will, as a non-exhaustive tasks list :

• Produce 3D general arrangements for exterior storage compartments and tender garages
• Create assemblies and parts for deck fittings and hardware (i.e. cleats, handrails, hatches, sailing hardware, companionways, transom doors…)
• Use 3D models to check interaction with structure, interiors and systems
• Produce 2D production drawings and prepare relevant CNC files

Educational:
Mechanical Designer. Experience in yachting or boat building is a plus.

Experience/Technical:
2+ years’ experience working in mechanical systems, preferably in the marine industry
