Job Description:

The organisation is looking for permanent employee to join our drawing office. The successful candidate will be part of the dynamic team tasked with the design and production drawings for all interior related aspects on our yachts. The work will range from design proposals to technical drawings of cabins, specific details of furniture and fittings, etc.

This post is based at our manufacturing site in Athlone Industria, Cape Town.

Remuneration:

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Drawing Office Supervisor, the successful incumbent will:

• Produce 3D models of the cabin and details using SolidWorks and/or Rhino
• Produce 2D production drawings on SolidWorks/DraftSight
• Produce CNC files
• Produce design proposals, with samples and finishes
• Liaise with sub-contractors, the yard team and other team members to insure design integration
• Use 3D software to check interaction with systems and structure

Educational:

• Degree / Diploma / equivalent in Interior Design.
• Computer Literacy – MS. Office
  
  Experience/Technical
• 5+ years’ experience in design of carpentry and interior
• Extensive experience in Rhino 3D, SolidWorks (equivalent) or Revit and Draftsight (equivalent) is required.
• Requires a keen interest in interior design.
