Job Description:
The organisation is looking for permanent employee to reinforce our Design Office.
The successful candidate will primarily be tasked with the designing all exterior outfitting aspects on our yachts, among which deck layout, technical areas arrangement, transom and tender mechanical cinematic systems, production and machining drawings, deck hardware design and update.
This post is based at our manufacturing site in Athlone Industria, Cape Town.

Regularly reporting to the Design Office Supervisor, the successful candidate will, as a non-exhaustive tasks list :
CORE COMPETENCIES, ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS and PREFERENCES
Educational:
BSc Mechanical Designer
Experience/Technical:
5+ years’ experience working in mechanical systems. Experience in yachting industry is a very strong plus.
Solid experience in 3D parametric modeling (SolidWorks or similar) and 2D drawing (Draftsight or similar) is required.
Good practical sailing knowledge is desirable.
